Silk Mills Park and Ride Site

The Silk Mills park and ride site is situated on the edge of Taunton and is particularly convenient for West Somerset drivers. Just follow the signs!

There's a 600 space free car park and a manned-security and information centre, with public conveniences.

Town centre buses leave every six minutes in the rush hour and 10-12 minutes throughout the day.

Musgrove Hospital buses run every 20-30 minutes between 6:30am and 5:55pm.

Secure Bike Lockers are also available at a cost of £5 per 10 week period. Please contact Transporting Somerset at transport@somerset.gov.uk.

The 12-acre site is currently being landscaped to create an urban wildlife park. There will be native trees, ponds and wildflower meadows accessed via paths for walkers and cyclists.
